Renault Trafic radiocode
The Renault Trafic II (2001–2014) is a popular commercial vehicle that was also offered as a minibus. The model uses the Update List radio with PRE-code security as standard. Due to intensive use as a work vehicle — regular battery load, use of external equipment, sometimes also deep discharge — the chance of a locked Trafic radio is considerably greater than for passenger cars. The Trafic II shares its base with the Opel Vivaro and Nissan Primastar, but the radio system is specifically Renault and the PRE-code method only applies to the original Renault device.

Wo finde ich den PRE-Code in meinem Trafic?
In the Renault Trafic II, the PRE-code sticker is on the inside of the glove compartment or at the bottom of the dashboard on the passenger side. In some Trafic models — particularly commercial versions — the sticker has been removed or was never present. In that case, remove the radio with DIN keys (four corner holes) and read the code from the sticker on the back of the radio.

The Trafic III (2014–present) falls outside the scope of our current offering. The Trafic III with R-Link 2 no longer has a traditional radio code. For older Trafic II models, you can come to us.
Yes, the PRE-code is linked to the radio device, not the owner. Any owner can request the radio code via the PRE-code sticker in the car, regardless of how recently the purchase was made.
If your Trafic is fitted with an original Renault radio (with the Renault logo and an Update List interface), you need the Renault PRE-code. If the radio has an Opel or Blaupunkt logo, our system does not work — you then need the Opel/Blaupunkt code method.
