Renault Twingo radiocode
The Renault Twingo is a compact city car that has been produced since 1993. The early Twingo I had a separate Blaupunkt or Philips radio that does not work with the Renault PRE-code system. Only from the Twingo II (2007) did Renault introduce the built-in Update List radio with PRE-code security. The Twingo III (2014–2024) also has an Update List or optional Media Nav system with the same security method. Due to the compact dimensions of the Twingo, the PRE-code sticker is sometimes in a less obvious location.
Generationen und Radiosysteme
| Generation | Baujahre | Radiosystem |
|---|---|---|
| Twingo I | 1993–2007 | Blaupunkt / Tuner List (geen PRE-code) |
| Twingo II | 2007–2014 | Update List |

Wo finde ich den PRE-Code in meinem Twingo?
On the Renault Twingo II and III, the PRE-code sticker is typically behind the glove compartment or on the inside of the dashboard panel on the passenger side. Because the Twingo has a small dashboard, space is limited and the sticker may also be directly on the back of the radio. Remove the radio via DIN keys in the four corner holes of the radio fascia. The sticker has a grey or white background with an alphanumeric code of 7–10 characters.
Nützliche Tipps für den Twingo
- On the Twingo II, the sticker is regularly on the back of the radio itself, because there is little space behind the glove compartment.
- The Twingo I (before 2007) has no PRE-code system — if your Blaupunkt radio is locked, you need the original code that was provided at purchase.
- The Twingo III with Media Nav usually requests a code after power loss, but always check whether your version expects a four-digit code or a different input.
- Keep the code together with the ownership documents — when selling the car, the new owner will also need it.

Häufig gestellte Fragen zum Twingo Radiocode
No, the Twingo I (1993–2007) has no Renault PRE-code system. The Blaupunkt radios from that period have their own code system. You need the original code that was provided with the car at purchase, or you should contact Blaupunkt or a dealer.
The Update List radio has physical buttons and a small display without a touchscreen. The Media Nav is a touchscreen navigation system with a larger screen. Both request a code via the PRE-code system after power loss.
In the Twingo III (2014–2024), the sticker is in the glove compartment or on the back of the radio after removal. The glove compartment is smaller than in larger Renault models, so the sticker may be small and attached to the bottom or back wall.
Yes, the radio code is permanent and never changes. After each power interruption you can use the same code again. It is therefore advisable to keep the code in a safe place.
